Brain Tilt

Well, thanks to my obsession with Guitar Hero, I have decided to sort of “re-learn” how to play guitar.  I used to play several years ago, but then just ind of stopped.  But now, thanks to Guitar Hero, I’ve decided that its time for me to start playing again.  My goal is to learn to play all the songs on both Guitar Hero’s.  I figure that if I can teach myself all of those songs, then I can pretty much teach myself anything.

We’ll see how it goes.

(For those wondering, my acoustic guitar is a Takamine G-Series electric acoustic and my electric guitar is a white Fender Stratocaster, like the one in Wayne’s World.)

So the PS3 may now get a nice little price cut. Good for consumers, bad for Sony. They were already losing a ton of money on the PS3 and now they’ll lose even more.

Losing money, plus production delays (now Europe won’t see the PS3 until March) and fierce competition from the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. Sony just seems to have completely bungled the launch of the PS and it will likely cost them market share.

I can’t even make this up.

A woman died participating in a contest to win a Nintendo Wii.  Apparently, some radio DJs held a “Hold your wee for a Wii contest”, where contestants were to drink a ton of water and whoever could hold it longest won the Wii.  Turns out, one of the finalists drank too much water and died of water intoxication.  I didn’t even know that was possible.

Oh. My. Lord.

If you have Xbox 360…BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!

This guy is widely considered the best gamer in the world.  He wins tons of tournaments and basically gets paid to play video games.  He’s got his own line of mice and keyboards that he specifically designed for gamers.  He’s even worked with some game companies to help make online games better.

Why the hell didn’t my guidance counselor tell me about this career option in high school??????

I’ll admit that I did consider getting a PS3 and unloading it on eBay. The thought of making 3 to 4 times what I paid for it was very enticing.

I’m glad I didn’t.

It’s a drug. I’m addicted.

To the point that I actually spent an entire day playing it with a buddy of mine. That’s right. We had the day off work and we played the ultimate game of air guitar. And we’re both pushing 30.

Man. We are lame.
