Remember my post a few weeks ago about the porn industry deciding the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray battle??

Well, turns out the biggest issue the porn industry has with the HD formats is razor burn. HD makes physical imperfections more apparent on the videos.

Two great quotes from the article:

“The biggest problem is razor burn. Im not 100 percent sure why anyone would want to see their porn in HD.” — Stormy Daniels, on the the issues with HD

“We kept stopping and trying to hide it. We put on makeup and powder, but there was no way. We just changed positions.” — Savanna Samson, on how she dealt with a tiny, ill-placed pimple

After a month off, Heroes was back on the air last night. It’s well written and is a great story. The only flaws are that the show can be slow at times and there are a lot of characters, which makes it harder to really learn about or care about the characters (sort of the same problem as Lost - too many different little sub-plots). But over all its a great show.

More importantly, it’s a new show that is not a reality show. And I’ve noticed that there seem to be less new reality shows being released. And this a good thing. We may finally be exiting the era of reality TV. Which is good, because all reality TV shows are the same. Take beautiful people whose personalities won’t mesh well, put them in situations that in no way mirror reality and let them interact, with the intention of having them form factions and hate each other.

Heroes is my hero for helping to erase the reality TV era.
